Not sure where this ad is running, or who it is supposed to appeal to, but it looks like Swatch Group is in need of experienced watchmakers. I guess the six per year they are graduating from the Nicholas G. Hayek School of Watchmaking isn’t enough. I saw the ad on the Swiss Watch Boutique

Great site! I’ve been thinking about applying to the Nicholas G Hayek School. Does the Lititz Watch Technicum have better training or are they on par? Also, what kind of background/skill set are they looking for in their applicants? Thanks for the advice and great info.
Dan four big schools in the US to look at they are the WOSTEP schools in Lititz, Saint Paul, Seattle, and Secaucus they are the best of the bestand are equally the same no one any better then the other because they all use the same curriculum and all are taught under the guidance of WOSTEP trained instructors
Dan, I sent you an email but for all the readers I would say, yes there are the four asdfjkl; pointed out plus OSU. Although OSU is not WOSTEP it has a strong tradition of excellence and is preparing candidates for the AWCI CW21 exam with the blessing (financially and otherwise) of Rolex. I think it is also a good school.
I would however disagree that they are all equal. Some of those schools are better than others. LWT has the best facility, equipment, and instruction probably because of its higher level of funding. They are all good but the best course of action is for you to get information from all of them and visit as many as you can, ask lots of questions and make your own decision. The decision may become obvious.
